Evening People!Hope you are all having an awesome week and weekend, mine was pretty good actually. Spend some time on building a mini indoor hydrophonic setup to grow some of my own vegetables, which is something that I have been planning and working on in the background for a while now and finally got to it. I started this because I needed something else than just sitting behind the pc the entire day, and now that the main bulk of work is done I'll need to get something else again!Almost all of my other time went to finding the best way to move all my blog content over, but let's talk about that down below.Baking seriesPeople have really been reacting well to the baking series, even though I was more hesitant to release them as they required way more research than the other ones, just because it was a bit ago since I went into the technical reasons myself. This does tell me that I need to do a better job of preparing my content and delivering more of general advice instead of these obscure tips for a specific audience. Which was something that I always wanted to do anyways, so this all tells me that there was something logical about my reasoning :D,Moving blog contentAs mentioned above something that has been keeping me busy is finding the best way to move all my content from one platform to another. My main thing I have been trying to do is using .CSV files, as Webflow allows them to be imported. There are some issue with that though, Artstation doesn't allow them to be exported in any shape or form, so this meant that I had to copy all the content over to Notion (my main tool for organizing everything) blog by blog, then the next step was finding a way that allows me to have all the different seperations within the text, as jus copying this over was not copying the images into Notion. And lastly, as my blog changes format over time a couple of times I need to reflect this in the new style too... But long story short, I have ended up with a system that is half automatic and half manual. There is much more that's going on behind the scenes, but just wanted to give an overview and not do a full deep dive into the process.Future ideasWith working on the website and finally being able to fully do my own thing there are a lot of ideas that I have been playing around with inside my head for future expansion and additions to what my personal work is going to be outside of my main work. One thing that really struck out to my was that most blogs are really structured and narrow in their focus versus mine which are more freeform, i can see the structured ones working better but I like the freeflow of the ones that I do.Something I would love to play around with is Future mentorship pages, where I post my mentors in a way that might help them with their job hunt, it could be an opportunity for me to feature people in a different way and would love to explore this more.I would also love to find a way to make all the content more easily accessable with build in Patreon Integration too, no idea how Iight do this, but that something for my future self to find out.The main thing that I want to achieve with all of this is expanding my content and more into a site where Environment artists can really find their home and learn new skills or how to get into the industry, this is something that is near and dear to my heart.
