Evening people!Hope you all are doing well, I'm doing really good and it's has been another busy week, Especially at work!Been doing some planning for my project, which I haven't named yet! So I need to do that this week, but we will dive more into this in the work in progress section.Gamesacademy Gold Master JuryI also had the opportunity to join in on my first feedback panel for student of Games Academy, which was really eye-opening because it was my first time doing this and it was amazing sitting on the other side for the first time. This also inspired me to do this more often and it pushed me to do more work involving students and people trying to get into the industry!Small additional fact: I was probably as nervous as the students, especially for the first projects! But fun nonetheless.Other than this, I really got inspired by the #VisibleWomen hashtag over in Twitter this week, and ofcourse I'm focused on Environment art, but are some really inspiring pieces of art that got shared around with that, so that was amazing! Some of my highlights:Ellen ShelleyTwitter: https://twitter.com/artofelArtstation: https://www.artstation.com/artofelJasmin Habezai-FekriTwitter: https://twitter.com/lowpolycurlsArtstation: https://www.artstation.com/curlscurlyKatelyn JohnsonTwitter: https://twitter.com/KatelynJ155Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/katelynjohnsonBut there are so much more than these, so have a look over on twitter! :D,Reference gathering screenshotSo for this scene I was mainly inspired by a scene that I was doing before, but never really finished.I want to keep it a beautiful mix of nature, geometric and a subtle hint of mysticism, a good reference for this would be the tutorial mission of Titanfall 2, which always had a nice amount of mysticism. Other inspirations include Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,Sustainable design, Living architecture and more.I'm still in progress of gathering more reference but the board currently should give you a good idea! :DReference and story firstSo I also want to add this little blockout screenshot as a little reminder for myself that I need to hold of on this step, focus on the planning first.I was getting a little carried away with making meshes, and not really focused on image that I had in my head and just focusing on the modularity of it, which makes the scene itself feel less natural and free flowing, which is something that I somewhat want to achieve with this environment. So yeah, start with good reference first and THEN start the blockout process! :D
