What Are Team Challenges?

Artists from different backgrounds join forces in Team Challenges, working in teams of five to design and complete an environment from scratch in five weeks. This is a chance to refine your collaboration and communication skills, work towards a unified vision, and make team-based decisions — all essential skills for a professional setting. Additionally, you’ll gain hands-on experience using source control, a crucial tool in any studio workflow. At the end of it, you’ll have a fully fledged environment piece to add to your portfolio!

What You’ll Gain

  • Stronger communication and teamwork skills
  • A polished, portfolio-worthy environment
  • Hands-on experience with source control
  • The ability to specialize in one area instead of handling everything alone

Challenge Theme: Witches Den

"The den is no ordinary dwelling. It is a place of gathering, of weaving, of unseen forces crossing paths. Every corner hides a fragment of intent, every object a story. Will you find wisdom, or awaken something beyond your grasp?”

Judges and Mentors

Each team will be provided a mentor that will remain with you throughout the entirety of the challenge! Your mentor is around to give weekly feedback.

Mentors are separate from Judges. At the end of the challenge, a panel of industry professionals will evaluate each submission based on key criteria, ultimately selecting the grand winner. These judges will be revealed during the Kick-off Stream.
